THE EFFECT OF PERIODONTAL PACK WITH ADDITIONAL PLANTS OF IODINE (JATROPHA MULTIFIDA L.) POST CURRETAGE

Background: Curettage is an act of scraping the granulation tissue on lateral gingival wall periodontal pocket. After curettage, a pack was applied to control bleeding and keep wound area clean. The addition iodine leaves as alternative because it contains flavonoids that can help healing process. This study aims determine effect adding 10% leaf extract gel curettage process.Method: A true experimental laboratory with post-test only group design 20 wistar rats. were added gel. seen from mean number fibroblasts using One-Way Anova analysis.Result: showed 5th 7th day groups 35.20 49.60, while those in days 45.80 50.80, respectively. test p > 0.05, there significant difference between groups.Conclusion: conclusion giving process rat curettage.
